Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche once said “what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger”. Nietzsche was a 19th century German philosopher and classical philologist. He was born in the Prussian Province of Saxony. (1844) His writings consisted of critical texts on religion, morality, contemporary culture, philosophy and science. His key ideas included interpreting tragedy as an affirmation of life, which brings me back to the famous quote “what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger”.
I think with this quote, Nietzsche has touched many people. I have personally had many experiences with these words. As a child many teased me with harsh words and even some cruel actions. As a teen, I began to think life was unfair, unjust and, harshly demanding. Now, as an adult I look back on the past as something that made me stronger.
Nietzsche’s quote has made its way through many generations. I believe that in the years to come many people will be affected by these words in one way or another. I plan to continue to live by these words through out my daily life.
I agree! I live by these words too!
ReplyDeleteYoure absolutly right Kelvin! I think that when bad things happen that you just have to look at them this way. Its the only way to pull something good out of anything bad.
